Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an MS Exchange Enterprise Specialist to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
This is an opportunity to be involved in major new implementation of MS Exchange 2007 in an 12,000+ Enterprise user environment.

  • Solve complex network server/application/infrastructure level problems on an individual level and interface with teams as needed.
  • Perform system Hardware/Software upgrades as outlined/required by manufactures and/or according to project plans
  • Work with outside vendors including: Dell, Microsoft, EMC to install and troubleshoot software/ hardware.
  • Opportunity to grow in a rapidly changing client environment learning new technologies
  • Develop, update and maintain technical and operational documentation
  • Produce capacity planning and performance reports for servers and storage
  • Maintain software patch levels in conjunction with monthly releases as appropriate
  • Travel to various Sites and assist local IS-Staff as needed
  • Participate in On-Call rotation

    Required Skills:
  • 5 years experience working in a large, enterprise environment
  • 5 years experience working in a technical support role
  • 5 years experience with servers (Wintel) and EMC SAN connectivity devices (Fibre Channel technology, McData and/or Brocade switches)
  • 5 years Active Directory Services Administration and troubleshooting
  • 5 years Exchange 2003 Administration of mailbox, calendar, public folder and conferencing services and architecture and integration of messaging solutions in addition to troubleshooting complex issues such as directory synchronization, mail routing, etc., archiving (Enterprise Vault Mail )
  • 3 years managing and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • 2 Years exp. consulting with customers and assessing customer needs, translate customer requirements to a design, rapidly learn and apply new technical knowledge, work in a project environment including planning, creating and executing project task
  • Mental Characteristics: Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write. Body strength sufficient to lift up to 25 pounds. Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations.

    Desired Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Previous experience supporting Dell servers
  • Experience with problem resolution of hardware/software platform problems in complex, layered, client/server-based software
  • Networking concepts, including experience with switches, routers, and hubs

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • MCSE, CNA Preferred
