Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Systems Integration Specialist to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
The Systems Integration Specialist designs and develops total systems solutions to the enterprise-wide systems problems of customers. These solutions deal with the major business processes used to manage the overall enterprise. This position requires integrating hardware and software applications for our Health Care client. Systems integrators participate with the client in the strategic design process and translate business needs into technical systems solutions. They are responsible for the technical correctness and completeness of integrated systems designs.

The Integration specialist will perform the following:

  • Perform analysis of interface requirements, discuss and evaluate Interface solution with project team.
  • Document scope, perform gap analysis, and document functional specification.
  • Review interface design and develop interface technical specification
  • Develop detailed work plan and lead integration effort.
  • Coordinate vendor’s (Meditech, HBOC, A4, Picis, PMM, etc) interface configuration & set up.
  • Code interface using Sybase Neon) Imapct 4.1/eBiz Imapct 5.x tools
  • Develop test plan, coordinate testing activities with project team, and perform interface testing
  • Coordinate and attend weekly project status meetings and report status to the project team.
  • Coordinate go-live activities
  • Troubleshoot and communicate integration issues between Meditech and 3rd party systems
  • Provide On-call support and manage Meditech and 3rd party vendors’ interface issues

    Required Skills:
  • 4 years min. proven data analysis, integration design and problem solving ability
  • 3+ years of HL7 standards and interfaces
  • 4+ years of healthcare experience
  • 3+ years providing presentations, conducting and/or coordinating project meetings.
  • 4+ years of planning, design, writing interface technical specifications
  • 3+ years developing test plans and test interfaces
  • 3+ years with Admission, Order Entry, LAB and Radiology results’ workflow processes among clinical systems
  • Mental Characteristics: Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write. Body strength sufficient to lift up to 25 pounds. Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations.

    Desired Skills:
  • 4+ years of clinical data analysis and trouble shooting Integration related issues between various HIS systems including but not limited to Meditech, , CathLAB, Dictaphone, Allscripts Touchworks, Healthvision Physician Web Portal and Cerner systems.
  • Ability to develop project plan and lead integration efforts.
  • Knowledge of Order Entry, LAB and Radiology results’ workflow processes within clinical systems
  • Prior experience with Unix Shell Scripting, C, HTML, JavaScript, XML, Integration Engine tools (Sybase, Seebeyond, etc.)

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Management Information System

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Unix Certification is desired

    * 25% Travel to other locations may be required
